Instability 14 Weeks post ACL Reconstruction
« on: April 29, 2015, 10:39:55 PM »
I had an ACL reconstruction with hamstring graft in Jan after football injury 3 years ago.

Everything seemed to be going fine until a couple of week a go.  Caught my foot and stumbled.  Knee felt like it popped out and then back into place. Quite worrying but settled down after a day

Today was sitting at work (desk job) and must have twisted awkwardly.  Again knee felt like it popped out of place and then back in.

Worried that I've got this instability as I thought that was what the ACL reconstruction was meant to stop. Phoned surgeon and he has asked me to come in and see him.  Concerned that I might have stretched or damaged the graft.  Anyone got any experience of this sort of thing? Is any instability to be expected at this stage?

Any help appreciated
