bike accident
« on: June 01, 2015, 10:17:47 PM »
Iím kind of at a breaking point with my situation and any kind of advice or help would greatly be appreciated, I have been fortune enough to not injury myself as an adult like this.
About a month ago I was riding my bike and through various events (mainly a stop light drastically changing) I fell over my bike and onto my knee, I scraped it pretty badly and while there was no immediate noticeable swelling it was excruciating pain. I went to get an x-ray at the beloved (ugh) urgent care they let me know nothing was broken but gave me a report saying
-small joint effusion noted
-no acute appearing  bony abnormality
-small amount of fluid seen in suprapatellar burar
-soft tissue swelling

after this I used the RICE regimen and iced it often took 3 ibuprofen 3 times a day and elevated when sleeping or sitting down I had a splint like brace I was wearing and now I have moved to just a compression sleeve for when Iím working.

itís been about a month I saw my primary care physician and she let me know I just need to give it more time but it still is painful, some days better than others I can walk and I can stretch but I cannot put any weight on my knee itself (kneeling, squatting)the corner of my knee tends to swell into a pocket causing some throbbing pain and then the back of my knee just feels super tight and sometimes feels pinched depending on the motion
and I just want to make sure Iím on the right track, any tips hints or anything would help so much, I
