PLEASE READ POST OP 13 WEEKS
« on: April 13, 2015, 01:36:29 PM »
hi I'm 24 and completely torn my acl playing football. I was focused on my rehab and done physio twice a day lots of stretches until the consultant at 6 weeks said no more brace walk in it as much as u can. I would like to add that I haven't been doing any physio since then (6-7 weeks) with just light exercise a day... Is there anything I should be worrying about ? What can I do to increase my recovery ? It feels great but not 100% please help as Im worried

I just had my ACL surgery around 3 weeks ago, but I would say you're 100% if you can get the same full extension and full flexion as your other good leg. Once you achieve that, you should just make sure you don't damage your knee again because the graft takes about 8-10 months to fully heal and become a full part of your knee. And if I were you, I'd just make sure I don't lose my full extension and flexion by continually doing exercises until you feel super comfortable doing them.
