False negative Lachmans Test
« on: March 29, 2015, 01:06:46 AM »
Initially surgeon told me I tore ACL and meniscus, with a positive Lachmans test. However now he's telling me my acl scarred to my pcl and now he can't detect instability in my knee, following the Lachmans test and will not do surgery. My second opinion said my knee is still loose and recommends surgery.

Help!!

I have similar problem.
Lachman test is negative but MRI shows torn ACL. Doctor say no need surgery as he can't trust MRI
Knee is loose after injury.
