Not sure if ACL or MCL or Quadricep tendon injury
« on: March 09, 2015, 01:10:02 AM »
The injury: I was doing side-side (stupidly) jumping whilst my knee wasn't warmed up fully and landed on it after the 4-5th jump, (landing and jumping off same leg, using right leg). I think i heard two pops, I had no immediate sharp pain or whatever, but felt slight inflamation and pain. I still had full function of it, and gradually, it got a bit worse. It hurts, a 5/10 when I apply pressure against gravity (upward motion), HOWEVER i have FULL RANGE, with minor pain.

At the time of injury, I could still run to maximum ability.

I feel tenderness (when i apply presure) to the upper part of the knee, suggesting it could potentially be a quadricep tendon strain/tear/sprain. The issue is, that this aching sensation feels like its the whole knee ONLY when the leg is fully straightened.

I feel as though I can run, but pain is preventing me. I have pain walking up (minor), but more pain going down stairs.
