Minimal lateral patellar subluxation recovery

Hi, Its been two months since I've been diagnosed with patellar subluxation. I am gradually recovering and is able to put weight on the injured leg. I am also given a go signal for light jogging and my new therapist suggested to use a neoprene knee brace. I am currently using kinesio tape as suggested by my old therapist but my new therapist said that she does not know if it will hold my knee cap in place better.

Which one should I use when I'm doing my recovery exercises? When should I use the tape or brace? Can I use them at the same time? I don't know if its ok or weird to be wearing kinesio tape under a brace :P.
