Pain after a fall
« on: February 21, 2015, 09:03:50 PM »
Hi hoping someone may be able to answer my query.
I had a fall 3 days ago or should I say dive onto a concrete path. I landed on my knees and cut both of them. One of them is still bleeding a bit but that's not concerning me. The bruising is starting to come out now. Since it happened I've been experiencing pain behind my knee running down the outside of my lower leg. Do you think I have sprained a ligament?  I can't lift my knee very high at the moment and limping a bit. I haven't seen the doctor as I don't want to waste their time.

You would be best to see your GP  or practice nurse, not least to get the cuts properly looked at, check they are clean. And have them check for any other damage at the same time.  Thats what the medics are there for. No one on an Internet forum can diagnose what you might have done, nor stop a gravelly knee get infected. You'd be best to go to A&E in the morning looking at the picture

Good luck :)
