Loose MCL after surgery
« on: January 13, 2015, 11:40:39 PM »
Two years ago I had ACL, MCL, and meniscus repair on my left knee from a soccer injury. My ACL healed without the slightest problem, but a couple months ago my MCL partially tore again. Since the second tear my MCL has supposedly healed according to my surgeon, but it still feels very very loose. On the bright side there is no pain what-so-ever, and my knee feels stable, just the occasional stiffness after working out, and the laxity. If someone could please suggest to me ideas of what to do or what could possible be wrong that would be great!

When you say your MCL healed but feels loose, what does the surgeon say about that?  Is there residual laxity in the joint?  If there is, I wonder if that will put your graft at an increased risk?  I'm dealing with an MCL tear that doesn't want to heal either...  it's been 9 weeks and I still have pain and laxity -my knee also feels loose
