Conformis iTotal G2 Lawsuit
« on: December 22, 2014, 07:46:27 PM »
This is my first post. I have a severely arthritic knee and saw a consultant at The London Sports Ortho Clinic recently. He told me i needed a knee replacement, and recommended the Conformis iTotal G2 knee. This is a bespoke knee replacement. I had heard beforehand that this is some of the latest technology available so I was keen to take his advice and feeling optimistic of a good outcome. However, whilst carrying out some research afterwards I saw that a woman in Texas has launched a lawsuit against Conformis and the iTotal G2. She had a really bad time with it apparently; according to the reports the poly inserts came loose and caused damage to her femur. Nothing has as yet been proven about who was at fault though. I have yet to hear of any bad feedback in the UK and my consultant has not come across any either. So now I am in a bit of a quandary and  just wondered if anybody else was in a similar position, or has any other information or opinion on this.
