MCL injury question??
« on: October 13, 2014, 07:23:06 PM »
Hi guys,

I injured my MCL approx 8 weeks ago and I started physio about 2 weeks ago. I feel like the knee is stable and strong. I can run with minimal pain however I know I am still not ready to return to football. The problem I'm having is with a resistance band and bending my knee (foot to bum) the pain is terrible. I don't feel like the pain is directly above the MCL more below and above the original injury site. It feels tight on bending and not getting better.

I just wondered if anyone else has suffered with this and had any advice?

Still really struggling with this, any advice would be welcomed?

I am thinking of returning to light sport - would people advise then when i still have some pain?

You should really see the physiotherapist for advice before doing any sport :)  Especially if still have pain
Came off bike onto concrete 9/9/09
LK arthroscopy 8/2/10
2nd scope on 16/12/10
RK arthroscopy on 5/2/15
Lateral meniscus trim, excision of hoffa's fat pad, chondral stabilisation
LK scope 10.1.19 medial menisectomy, trochlea microfracture, general tidy up
