Knee sore after sport, no diagnosis for 9 months?
« on: October 04, 2014, 03:47:39 PM »
I have persistent knee soreness after playing football (soccer) and training. Physios and sports doctor cannot find a reason. All tests and MRI indicate no ligament damage. There is no swelling, I just feel sharp pain. I have even had a cortisone injection to cover for possible Pes Anserine (Knee Tendon) Bursitis. After a weeks rest, the pain re-occurred after my first training. Once I start playing I can ignore it and ironically played with it all season (almost 30 games).  It has become a worry, could it be a referred pain from IBT pinching on nerve or similar. If any suggestions would be appreciated. I am 21 and play semi-pro football in Australia.
