double quadriceps injury and rehab
« on: July 31, 2014, 10:24:44 PM »
Thanks for letting me post on this forum. I am a double quad patient, was injured Dec 11th, 2013 and have been in rehab since March of 2014. I lost two months due to recovery with almost full bed rest. The recovery is very slow, but I have wonderful therapists. Are there any other double quad patients on this forum and how long did it take them to walk normal? I am walking sort of OK, but months before it might be considered normal. My surgeon told me it would be February of 2015 before I might be fully recovered, can kneel down, squat, do all the normal activities of walking. The process of rehab is so slow and one measures progress in very small increments. I fight for every inch of improvement. Your comments and experiences with a double quad injury are greatly appreciated.

Hi Tuckwell

My goodness - you have sustained a very rare injury and very few patients have shared your expierence.

Suggest you post on

Ruptured Patella/Quadricep tendon Surgery and you will catch up with three persons who are currently recovering from a double rupture.

Keep posting
