Issues 6 years after MPFL Surgery
« on: July 25, 2014, 08:51:52 PM »
I had a MPFL surgery 7 years ago after a failed LR.. Was doing well with this and injections twice a year ..until about 6 months ago. I felt like I woke up and just could not walk. Looks like somehow my quad muscle is missing. Even though I was active. My dr had my hormones check and sent me to a neurologist even though I felt it was in my knee. I have now been in PT for over 12 weeks..very hard to walk to stand for more then 10 minutes still. My hip muscles have responded to therapy but not quad. My Dr is ordering PRP shots . Thinking I need a second opinion from a Southern Ca Dr any suggestions ??? I am only 5o thin usually very athletic..Thanks
