Knee Arthroscopy last week - Recovery?
« on: May 26, 2014, 04:34:53 PM »
Hi everyone i had a knee arthroscopy last Tuesday (20/5) to investigate why my knee kept locking upon kneeling.

They shaved some cartilage and trimmed my plica which they think was the cause of my locking.

Does anyone have any idea of the recovery time? I am doing my exercises the hospital gave me twice a day every day.

I will be having my stitches out this Friday. I cannot bend my knee much at all and wondered when i should be able to bend it more. Am i expecting too much too soon.
The hospital gave me a sick note for 2-4 weeks, the way its going i think it will be 4 weeks before i can think about returning to work.

Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know it has been sometime since you posted this, but I am curious as to how your recovery went and where things are at now?
