Further Damage Likely?
« on: May 19, 2014, 11:34:20 PM »
I am a Tae Kwon Do (Similar to Karate) student and injured my knee during testing. I've had an X Ray and MRI, both showing nothing damaged. I won't be able to actually speak to the Ortho until 4 weeks after I've had the MRI, but I have a TKD testing coming up before that appointment. I'm worried that the MRI is a false negative because the pain has increased since the original injury. If the MRI is correct and there's no damage, I'm willing to work through the pain as necessary. My question is, will this likely cause more damage? I don't want to do anything I may regret later, but I also don't want to waste time waiting for an answer that means I can remain active. Any advice is appreciated.
