How to find the right Dr?
« on: May 13, 2014, 12:59:20 AM »
I have external tibial torsion. I was read a couple of threads and some stated not every OS knowledge to deal with this condition. How can I find out who has experience in derotation osteotomy? I'm guess that's what I will need to fix my problem.

I have read a few post where people has got the proble resolved through Drmark. I even read some tracked 2000 miles to see him. Does anybody know how that worked? His office is around 600 miles from me. I read he does see patients from out of town. I just can't make a trip once a week. I could maybe go down maybe twice.

Why not drop him an email through his website, many have said he is responsive to such enquiries.  He no longer posts here I think

In the US, the insurance system seems to add a high level of complexity as to whom you can see. at least if you want the enormous costs covered!

Teitge is another doctor who gets mentioned regularly on here for complex PF cases, but he is in Michigan I think and has long long waiting lists for surgery

Looking through post op diaries and the PF forums may throw up some more names, ditto the surgeon list in the information hub
