Leaving out of town and knee is messed up!
« on: May 09, 2014, 07:20:53 PM »
I have never really had any knee problems.  I am 55 and do a light jog about 1 1/2 to 2 miles per day.

Yesterday I got out of bed, took 3 steps and my knee felt like it was collapsing in...and a bit of pain on the outside of my knee.  This happened about 15 times yesterday during the day...I have no pain otherwise when in fells like it is collapsing.  I called the doctor this morning and of course no appointments are available today and I am leaving out of town tomorrow for a week..with a lot of walking involved.

The same thing has happened about 3 times  today, does anyone know what this may be?  How do I handling this while traveling, should I get some sort of knee brace...if so, what kind?  Or, should I head to the ER.

Dang, why do things like this happen right before a trip...it sucks getting old!!

Thanks

My best advice is to head at once to ER - peace of mind if nothing else

Sounds like arthritis has caught up with you. Time to see a OS.
