Suspected ACL w possible meniscus injury
« on: May 04, 2014, 07:04:34 AM »
Recently i've injured myself and i couldn't walk for hours after that. Doc says its most likely an ACL rupture but i am unable to understand why there is hardly any swelling? When i had a partial tear in my ACL in the other leg 2 years ago, the swelling was pretty bad.

I was playing football and suddenly my right leg twisted and it got swollen.when I showed this to a doc he just took out the excess fluid inside my knee with a syringe and advised me to rest. After a month went to play football and again the same thing happened(twisted and swollen).this time I showed it to a different doctor and then I had my acl and meniscus repair surgery but almost 9 months after surgery I kicked the football again and suddenly my knee locked.I could not walk or stand.somehow I managed to open that lock but I was in great pain.it's been almost 2 years now and my knee still locks when I kick the ball too hard and I hear a cracking and popping sound whenever I bend my knee. I want to know whether I have broken my acl or meniscus again?. When I bend my knee the inner side of my knee hurts. :-\ :(
