Knocked Kneed AFTER PKR?
« on: April 03, 2014, 05:30:35 PM »
Hi Everyone,

In 2010 I had a High Tibial Opening Wedge Osteotomy for weight bearing relief of the medial knee joint.  My leg was perfectly straight after that however I still had failed cartilage surgeries after that.

After the surgeons tried to preserve my own knee using cadaver three different times, I signed up for a Conformis Partial Knee Replacement which was this past January 2014.  The minute the bandages came off in the hospital I noticed my leg was knocked kneed.  Now it is confirmed via alignment xrays.  On top of that the LATERAL side of my knee is really hurting.  Can't do a straight leg raise or walk with a straight leg.

Anyone else have this happen?  I am not over weight by any means and I'm only 45!  I am going for a second opinion next week.

I'd appreciate any input!
