Im 5 weeks post op (partial menisectomy on lateral and medial meniscii) - now, I was told before the operation that the MRI shows my knee has having a strained/partially torn acl - but they did not touch it in the operation (dunno why)

Now, I went back to some football this week as allowed, and I was useless, I can't run (only jog), I can't tackle properly despite my build/size, I just not feel right on feet when in sports.

I'm pain free and haven't experienced buckling since before the operation. I'm due in hospital on Tuesday for a post-op appointment.

Do you think it's likely that a strained/partially torn acl is causing this awkward feeling when playing sports or is it merely just weak muscles around the knee?

I injured the knee in July 2013 but insisted on playing on it despite buckling over numerous of times causing more meniscal tears no doubt.
