Knee resurfacing
« on: March 08, 2014, 07:34:31 PM »
Hi:  I was on this site a few months back and know as LAS.  I recently came back to it hoping that if anybody out there has had knee resurfacing done, I would like to know how it worked out for them.   I have Chondromalacia grad I-II in both knees and medial meniscus tears which have been treated and posterior horn derangement in the left knee.   I have been looking at the internet for information but there isn't much.  My surgeon has not told me that I am a candidate for this.   A lot of ortho Surgeons don't do this procedure and prefer you to have a TKR.  I won't do any surgery unless I am hopeful of the outcome.   I would just like to be able to go for a walk without  limping.

I am not an athlete.   I go to the gym 3-4 times a week for about 45 minutes.   I am a stenographer and so I sit and stand at work.  My  other job is bookkeeping and I am sitting for that.

I am grateful for any information.  Thanks  LAS

Thanks so much  LAS
