I have snowboarded on a bum left knee for years. Im goofy footed/left foot back. I like the leg union of a snowboard. I feel like my good leg can assist my not so good leg snowboarding. In my opinion there is a greater risk of knee injury skiing because of the leg independence required. Although i think skiing is easier to learn. When snowboarding beware of toe wedges and heel wedges though. They will hurt you.
