What do you think is going on?
« on: February 04, 2014, 09:02:40 PM »
Long story short.  In 2009 I injured myself skiing and the MRI said I had a complete tear of the ACL.  My Ortho who was going to do the operation told me that they decided to only clean up meniscus tear because my ACL was only partially torn and knee seemed stable upon examination.  (BTW at the same time a well known Dr. for professional football team told me MRI's are never wrong and that I needed full ACL reconstruction.)  Fast forward four years later and I have since run 4 marathons but on Thanksgiving day I tweaked my knee running on an uneven surface and knee has not been the same since.  I have difficulty doing single legged jump rope and when I ski I feel like only one leg's quad is getting sore so I'm definitely favoring one leg.  Hopefully this will pass with rest and I don't now need surgery.  Any thoughts on what I'm feeling/experiencing?

Thanks,

Andrew
