my question is all the way on the bottom if you want to skip my process
NOV 10, 2012 i tore my left ACL and Meniscus
MARCH 8, 2013 had surgery (only available date for me because i'm military)
was going to PT 3 times a week for about 3-4 months. i told them that my flexion was good but my extention wasn't. they said it was ok and that i just need to stretch and practice extending it. months past and the noticed my leg still was about a -12. my paperwork changed from light to force which meant to do what they need to force it down. they would lay me down on the table and put a belt under my right leg and over my left to try and keep that leg down. then they would put another one around my waste to keep me from lifting my hips. when everything was set up they would push as hard as the can on top of my knee to try to straighten it. they told my it's just scar tissue restricting it and once it pops then i should be good.they then switch me from 3 days to 4 days a week to do this (after my daily workout). i was literally yelling and crying in pain. they would do this about 4-5 times for anywhere from 15-30 seconds. After about 8 months of no improvement, my therapist told me that i'm showing no improvements and to just wait for the doctors decision (he comes by once a month to evaluate all his patients called a sports clinic). i've used a dino splint at night to try and straiten my leg and still nothing. i finally seen the the doctor and he said "it's ok, just keep stretching it and pushing it and you will get there" i asked if a second surgery was a option and he said "he is a good doctor and it's around 1/100 that he has to do another surgery for a ACL and to wait it out" months passed and still no improvement.
JAN 14, 2014 had knee manipulation. they put me to sleep and cranked my knee straight then put me in a cast
JAN 23, 2014 cast was cut off.have to sleep with the cast at night wrapped with a ace bandage.
after going to pt for 9 months i tried jogging and it was hurting and i tried walking for 2 miles and it was hurting. after the cast was cut off my knee hurts worse then before they put the cast.
Question: since around my 7th month after surgery, my knee pops EVERY time i extend it and if i sit for more then 20-25 minutes, it hurts when i stand up and/or try to straighten my legs mainly below my knee. What can cause this my leg not straightening and the pain?
