Noisy Knee
« on: January 30, 2004, 07:49:53 PM »
Hi, I'm new here...My right knee makes an incredibly loud squishy noise when I walk up stairs. I have weakness and dull pain all around my knee. My ortho is treating it as Osteoarthritis and has given me the series of Hyalgen injections. I also take celebrex 2x daily.

Nothing is working and I am not happy with my orthos treatment and diagnosis. He has sent me for xrays which revealed mild arthritis but no MRI. The pain has been much stronger the last couple of weeks.

Nothing I have read on knee injuries mentions such a sound. Has anyone dealt with a similar injury or is it really osteoarthritis and I'm just getting too excited about it?

Thanks for your help !
Brian

Hey !!

My knees sounds a lot and it's quite commmon. Some have this without no special injury and no pain. If you're not comfortable and satisfied with your os go get second opinion. It's never wrong to do that.
Wish you luck. Hope someone else can afford you some better advice.
