Neuropathy bottom of foot from Total K nee Replacement
« on: January 08, 2014, 05:02:12 PM »
I am brand new to this site. I had TKR 11/15/2013 and woke up to a numb foot. I will make a long story short--I had am EMG on 12/27/2013 that confirmed the neuropathy----which shows "not to be permanent"??Can they know FOR SURE--I have severe pain in the bottom of my foot--constant dull pain until the pain meds wear off--and when I "feel" the pain full force it is like I am walking on a frozen jagged rock with a "tight band" around my ankle. My knee recovery is very good as I have rehab therapy 2 to 3 days a week---but I feel like I have now inherited a "much worse" issue. I am now experiencing numbness and tingling in my hand and fingers and am wondering if this is because I am walking and sleeping in positions due to compensting for the foot issue----or does it stem from the neuropathy in the foot. Anyone out there with similiar issues ?? Any help would be so appreciated !!!
