Too Much Flexion post TKR
« on: December 31, 2013, 08:27:40 PM »
What happens if you have too much flexion post TKR?  Pre-op, my doc told me my new knee would go 150 degrees and that I should not be worried about it bending too far (I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and was concerned that my soft tissue would allow the new knee to bend too much and cause problems).  At my six month post op visit, my new knee measured 162 degrees flexion.  The doc about pooped himself; took xrays of it bent that much; and just told me not to worry.

I am concerned about what happens if it bends to much; am i damaging the new knee; will it break; will it dislocate; should i be doing things differently (i do normal daily living - and the new knee bends as much as my original knee on the other leg).

Help - advice - words of wisdom welcome...  Thank you!!!
