DeNovo/Medial Femoral Condyle Surgery
« on: December 05, 2013, 05:00:43 AM »
Just checking in to see if anyone else has had the denovo procedure on the medial femoral condyle? the peoples stories and blogs are very different that what i am going through:

i had microfracture in feb that never healed which lead me to the denovo, i also had meniscus repair and lateral release.

i was in full leg brace locked at 0 for 6 weeks before i could even go to physical therapy. after they allowed me to unlock the brace to 90 i started pt. i am 10 weeks out right now. i am in the brace at all times except at therapy. im only at about 50 degrees flexion right now.

i would just like to hear other peoples experiences with the denovo. so far the pain has pretty much diminished but there is a lot of atrophy because of being locked in brace for so long

Hi,

I'm looking at Denovo for a lateral femoral condyle defect.  Wondering how you're getting along now?  any advice?

Thanks!
