PCL/MCL tears. Bad idea to put off surgery?
« on: November 06, 2013, 01:33:15 AM »
On June 8th I hit a deer on my motorcycle. Along with all the other damage I was told I severed my PCL and sprained my meniscus. So a month later I finally had a follow up on my knee. Five minutes to tell me my PCL was severed and wrote a script for a brace and PT and sent me on my way. Never checked for anything else. No surgery. PT was rough. Finally went back and he finally checked everything with his twisting and bending and to me my MCL is tore also that he didn't catch the first time with his lacking attention and rushing. He said he would do surgery now even though I don't feel he is capable of it. I want to wait until at least June of next year to possibly fall. Am I going to cause a lot of permanent damage waiting? I am back to work as a soda delivery driver. Quite physical.
