Arthritis under kneecap and where medial meniscus was removed
« on: October 02, 2013, 09:34:32 PM »
Ok! To make a long story short in 2000 I had my medial meniscus removed. In 2005 I had pain 24 hours a day and eventually I had a lateral release done and was done I had a lot of arthritis due to my kneecap being tilted but they cleaned everything up. I had instant relief.

Pain is back now... had an MRI and saw the doctor today. He said I have significance arthritis where my meniscus was removed and under the kneecap and suggested physio. I agree with physio and I know the importance of being fit but I'm worried as I'm only 30.. where is this going to get to? Anything else I can do to help the situation? Any advice is highly appreciated!

Many thanks!

Check out this post: http://www.kneeguru.co.uk/KNEEtalk/index.php?board=7.0

I listed a bunch of articular cartilage repair strategies, treatments, ongoing studies.

Hope it helps.
