Should I get a 3rd opinion
« on: July 09, 2013, 04:39:14 PM »
I've been given 2 different opinions from dr John Webb and dr Andrew unwin.
Dr Webb says its my meniscus causing my swelling and dr unwin says its the previous Microfracture. I've just had a bone scan and will find out next week what dr unwin thinks of the bone scan but his pretty sure it's the previous Microfracture.

If anybody has any previous experience of 2 different opinions, any comments would help.
Should I go for a 3rd opinion?
2006: Left knee ACL graft repair, small medial and lateral meniscus removed.

2009: Left knee 1cm micro fracture (MFX) carried out on lateral femoral condyle and some more lateral meniscus removed.

2011: left knee 2cm micro fracture (MFX) carried out on the same area

Most definitely I would go for a 3rd opinion as the 2 so far are quite different in their diagnosis. Do not tell the 3rd opinion about the other 2.  I would not be surprised if the 3rd opinion is different from previous opinions.

09/10- left knee subluxation..

Thank you for your reply!

I will definitely go for a third opinion and will take on board what you have mentioned!

Thanks again!
