My surgeon recommended the FIFA 11+ warm-up program and since then I have been using it before games. It has a lot of over lap with the SMSMF PEP program I posted earlier and is pretty much the same program outlined in Dr. Marx's book, The ACL Solution. The FIFA 11+ website has detailed photos and videos on how to do the exercises properly though.http://f-marc.com/11plus/home/On another note, I just signed up for my first tournament since injury. Coming up in 3 weeks. I'll be playing up to 7 games in two days so it should give the knee a real test.
This past weekend, I played in my first tournament since injury. I'm quite happy with my performance. I was able to cut, sprint, and change directions HARD for all 6 games without the knee complaining. It's really strange, but my ACL-less knee feels as good as my "good" knee. I have yet to experience any instability - even when I'm cutting and pivoting without my brace on. As for rehab, I'm in the gym 2-3 times a week strengthening the surrounding muscles and also doing field/agility/sport specific exercises 2-3 times a week. I've committed to a Division I Fall league team and signed up for another tournament in October. I'll keep you guys posted on how it goes.
Still coping but considering getting surgery.I've played for 3 years at a high level without any issues but the past two years I had two instances of the knee give way (both during a hard plant and cut)It recovers in a few weeks usually. It still feels very strong and doesn't bother me now. If I stop playing competitive I probably would continue the non surgical option but I'd like to play at a high level for as long as I could so I'm going in for another surgical consult

Initial injury Nov 2014, going in for a surgical consultation booked for Dec 8th even though I can currently play soccer recreationally. Sigh. Such tough decisions one must make. How old are you ?
