Unhappy Triad and work concerns
« on: March 31, 2013, 05:52:03 AM »
I tore my ACL, MCL and meniscus during a ski accident and since, have been in a lot of pain. I can't put any weight on my foot and can't rotate my leg without terrible pain. My foot occasionally goes numb as well. I will need surgery but that can't happen for a few more weeks.

I have to decide if I should go on disability or not within the next few days. I am a Kindergarten teacher of a classroom with 22 boys. The job is demanding and I'm uncertain that I will be able to get through the day without pain and without doing further damage. I also live in a city with lots of hills and where I walk to work, I'm not sure that would be so easy either.

I'm wondering if anyone that has had the Unhappy Triad could tell me their experience pre and post surgery? And what you'd recommend? Any advice would be so appreciated.
