2007 had Left ACL replacement with my own hamstring.  Two scopes within four months of initial surgery, they took out ACL.  Have lost 40 #'s since then with elliptical exercise.  Now, have extreme pain on interior of same knee.  Went to dr, who gave shot in patellar tendon area.  Felt ok for a few days.  Sitting in chair, pain is a 7 on scale 1-10.  Cannot fully extend.  Had MRI done on Friday but I'm just looking for some suggestions on what it could be.  I hate not being able to get on my elliptical!!!  Anyone?

Have they already ruled out OA? As I understand, not having an ACL puts you at higher risk for OA because there is more chance for the bones to rub and jam together and wear down the cartilage faster. It really could be any number of things, including torn cartilage/meniscus. Only way to know is to have it looked at.
