higb tib osteotomy
« on: November 23, 2012, 08:45:37 AM »
morning im lee , 41 yr old male with a history of knee problems for last 20yrs ,. Due a football injury i sustained in the early 90's, rupture of acl , ruptured medial ligaments and cartalige tear , . after numerous ops and failures , i had a high tib osteotomy 9 weeks ago , as i am to young for a full knee replacement ,. every thing is going fine , no longer have the brace , still toe touch weight bearing for another week as there is very little bone re-growth ( is this serious?), all though yesterday i had a fall onto the side of knee which the surgery was performed . now im starting to worry if i have done some thing as i now can move the knee more i.e bend , and it doesnt feel tight , but no swelling , i think i may have been very lucky due to the fact there is no swelling , . Could i have moved the plate in my shin or would i know through extreme amounts of pain if i had done some damage to the area , hopefully some onre can help or advise as my doctors are not very concerned , just need to have my piece of mind .... thanks in advance
lee
