what knee brace is best a year after recon
« on: August 08, 2012, 08:31:30 PM »
Am 10 months out from ACL allograft and suture meniscus repair.  Doing well and wanting to go back to cutting sports, but a little wary of going out un-braced and tired of the bulky brace I've used for a year.  Any suggestions out there???

Ossur Paradigm. Super lightweight and very comfortable, to the point where I forgot I was wearing it half the time, but also provides excellent support. It kept my knee secure between injury and surgery, and saw me through my first ski season post-reconstruction.

Townsend Rebell is also extremely lightweight and modular so can easily be matched to your size without  paying the extra for a custom fit. They also come in way cheaper than the Don-joy, Bledsloe, CTi etc! Always a consideration if  you have to pay for it yourself!
