Need info on OATS, it's decision time!
« on: August 07, 2012, 09:49:00 PM »
I'm scheduled for PFJR on October 12, plus OATS on a 10 x 7mm lesion on the medial femoral condyle.  Should I expect more pain or disability post-op with both being done?  Honestly, I never thought about this!  Was just happy to be getting a new knee!

I will be pwb at 50% for four weeks post op. Rehab and expected recovery time is the same. I'm so ready for Oct. 12!

Why are you having a pfjr when you could be having a OCA or Denovo instead?  A pfjr may not be the answer, a OCA prob has just as high or even higher success rate then a pfjr. You may wanna rethink matters before you throw metal and plastic into your knee.
A pfjr could possibly wear out in 10 years.

Not a good candidate for OCA or Denovo. I've honestly tried everything and am happy with my, and my OS, decision. If I can get ten years, I'll be very happy!
