2nd Post Lateral Corner Surgery failed... Need help!!
« on: August 01, 2012, 05:56:08 AM »
Hi Guys!! I've had 2 post lateral corner reconstructions, and neither one has worked. Every step I take I have to hold my knee a certain way. Right from the start, I couldn't walk right, so it's not like it stretched out. This is really frustrating. I know I can't quit, but I want to pull my hair out, every time I'm walking around to do anything. It's amazing how some of these surgeons just don't understand how debilitating this injury is. Before my 2nd surgery, the stress x ray showed my knee opened up 14.85 millimeters, which is the equivalent of a completely torn knee ligament. I would say after the 2nd surgery my knee opens up just as much if not more. I don't understand how this happens. It's been about 10 months from my last surgery, so I'm getting ready to make an appointment with another Orthopedic Surgeon. I'm leaning towards Dr. Frank Noyes, and Dr. LaPrade. I'm not gonna give up, because I honestly both of my surgeries have not been performed correctly right from the start. I've spent a lot of time in the swimming pool. I'm there 6 days a week. Has anyone gone through something like this and been able to make it through it?
