Squeaky miniscus ?
« on: July 16, 2012, 03:04:41 AM »
Hey all,
I had a bucket handle tear repair done on my right leg, medial miniscus 8 weeks ago, I have been load bearing for 1 week and was on crutches for seven weeks. I am not over weight and in fact I am an active cyclist.
My squeaking just started and from the information I have been able to gather on the web, squeaking is somewhat common. My question is... How long can I expect the squeaking to last, what is causing it and am I at risk on damaging anything that has just been repaired?

Thanks.

You might find some useful information here: http://www.kneeguru.co.uk/KNEEtalk/index.php?board=19.0

Have you asked your surgeon about this? He/she would be the best person to tell you the time frame.
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.
