ACLr booked in..now the waiting game!
« on: June 08, 2012, 07:35:03 AM »
Hi guys

It's been a while since I've posted on here.  I've been a bit flat out with work which has helped take the mind off the knee which is good :-)

So I had my follow up visit with my OS (Dr Pinczewski) yesterday and he said my knee has improved a lot since he last saw me in April.  I know almost have full ROM (2 degrees from full extension, 145 degrees flexion) in my knee, the MCL has healed and it is quite stable.  When he checked my ACL he was suprised at the movement in it compared to my good leg, and commented that the amount of movement in my bad knee is what some people would have if they were normal.

So i've booked in for my ACLr surgery for September 3 (which is a while away) but it will be the week after I come back from a 6 week holiday.  Didn't want to risk any complications before then hence the wait.  At least that will help t he time pass quickly between now and surgery. (And hopefully win some of the money for the surgery when i go to Vegas!  ;D)

Hope you are all doing well with your knee injuries!

Cheers
Vas
