Pain after OATS
« on: May 16, 2012, 09:51:15 PM »
Hi I had oats surgery in October of 2010. It has been a year and half and I still have pain. I have days where it barely can handle in weight on it. I know the graph took. I am still having trouble build quad strength and I know that is where some of the pain comes from. . Just wanted to know if anyone else has had such a long recovery. I have been getting the synvisc shots about every 6 months. Although they help I can't see doing them forever and I really do not want PKR or TKR.

History of knee is a meniscal repair on medial and lateral knee 11/08

Arthoscopic knee surgery to meassure defect for OATS 12/09

I'm so sorry. I would talk to your doctor/ second opinion doctor though cause its too easy to jump to conclusions after surgery. Did you have instability before the OATS?
