Knee Injury
« on: April 17, 2012, 04:49:49 PM »

Last Thursday night I was walking and fell really hard on my knee. Did not pop anything & continued to walk to a restaurant. By the time I left my knee was incredibly swollen and I could not walk on it. I stayed home from work on Friday and iced, elevated, etc and did the same all weekend. It is now Tuesday and though I can sort of walk - I cannot really bend my knee more than 90 degrees. There is no pain just incredible tightness. I have fallen in the past ( I am a runner) and have never had loss of mobility to this degree. I have an appointment with an orhopedic doctor tomorrow but was wondering if anyone had experienced this. I do not have instability really, there was no popping, but it feels worse than a sprain.

It's really hard to say over the internet. Best to just wait and see what the doc says. :) It's probably just bruised and shaken up.
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.
