Post OCD & HTO - 8years on.....what are the options?
« on: April 04, 2012, 10:15:27 AM »
Hi all,
I had an HTO (High Tibial Osteotomy) back in 2004, this was to try and alleviate pain/discomfort from OCD (Osteochondritus Dessicans)

The pain is now returnoing to ucomfortable levels. I am 40 years old, and still consider myself as active, and fear Knee replacement, especially as HTO ended up with a non union, followed by Sheffield Ring etc etc ......

Does anyone outhere have a view on what the next setps could be, have previously have OATS & many grafts in Knee!!

Any help welcome, i have booked appt with specialist for a couple of weeks time, but sm struggling to find a source of 'What Next' may look like ???

You could try looking at the arthritis section of this site. Unfortunately I have no idea about your problems.
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.
