With anti-inflammatories, the first time I started taking diclofenac it took a few days to work, but now I know within a couple of hours if its any good.  A week or two and you should know.  I've also tried anti-inflammatory creams and they didn't work either, haven't tried the type of cream you've got though.  I'm on the max dose of gabapentin at the moment and it hasn't made a difference but I think it's better for nerve type pain, which I don't have.

@LindaM

It still has not shown any signs of relieving my pain yet!  :(
And now since I've been using it, I get these red marks on my left knee. I don't know if it's the creme doing it or not.
I've been getting red marks on my right knee ever since surgery, every time I stand up, and it's still a tad bit swollen.

If the red marks have been there since surgery, I doubt it is the cream.  Are they a little warmer than the rest of the knee?  It could be that this is just a sign of more inflammation in that part of the knee.  Sorry the cream hasn't started to work yet.  How often are you using it each day?  I was instructed to put it on 5-6 times per day.

I wish I could give you more help, but hopefully someone will log on this weekend and be able to do more.

Have a great Easter.

@LindaM

I have red marks on my right knee from surgery. It was only that knee. And now since I've been using the creme, it's starting in the left. My doctor told me before I got it to use it when I wake up, then at night take a shower, then put it on before I go to bed.

I've been using it for at least a week now and I've seen/felt no different.

I went to the doctor and with 2 papers of knee braces, like donjoy/breg/bledsoe etc. To play soccer next year. And he looked at them and read them.  And then was like, but you're not playing next year. So i said NO I AM PLAYING MY SENIOR YEAR. So he said if I can play in pain and adjust to a new brace, then I can play. (I mean I've been playing in pain for 5 years, I can deal 1 more.) We will order my brace 2 weeks before summer, which is next month!

I'm still in pain, but I'll put that on hold I guess. I'm not letting anything get in the way of this

I've worn a custom donjoy and I think that is all my orthopedist prescribes.  I know I've seen it on students here where I teach as well.  Good luck with the brace and with your soccer.

@LindaM

I have no idea on which one I'm going to get. My pain is getting worse. But thank you!
