Help understanding my MRI before second opinion with new OS
« on: March 01, 2012, 07:19:05 PM »
Hi again,
I have an appointment next week with a new OS.  I won't rehash the complete story but lack of communication between last Dr left me with too many unanswered questions.  He said to treat my knee like I had a bad bruise.  When my knee gave out he reprimanded me for using my leg to walk.
This time i want to be ready.

59 yr old female, I fainted 6 weeks ago.  Not sure how I landed because I was out.  I do have hard ceramic floors.

I'll just put the MRI summary because it is quite long.

1. Micofractures of the posterior tibial epiphysis involving the medial and lateral tibial plateaus posteriorly, fibular head and inferior patella.
2. High grade ACL tear of the proximal ACL with some ACL fibers intact.
Correlation for functional integrity of the ACL.

Not sure what it all means.  I just want to be ready with the appropriate questions.
01/12  Fell
02/12  MRI ACL tear
04/12  RK ACL recon Allograft, meniscus trim
