Tochlea grove micro fracture
« on: January 26, 2012, 02:17:39 PM »
Had TGM yesterday, feel like s**t. :'(

Have to wear a full leg brace for at least 8 weeks.

Specialist hopes this will enable me to keep my knee for another 10 years before TKR, but I have my doubts.
Well it could really make it any worse as I had total bone to bone contact

Just applied for a blue badge, notified the veterans association that my condition has deteriated and applied for a motorbilty supplement to my war pension

Subject: Tochlea grove mrf update

Hi everyone

Just to keep everyone updated, I am 3 weeks post Op now.
Evert thing is going well upto know apart from them fitting my leg brace back to front, hinged forward!
I should of had 20% bend from day one but as it was fitted wrongly I had 0%.
Really confused my physio, when I went to him after 2 weeks.
He has now set it at 40%.
For the first two weeks I had to keep my leg dry, so no baths or showers, just strip ashes:-(

Just one question, how o how do you sit on the loo with your leg braced at 0%,lol
