Help reading my MRI report Please
« on: November 04, 2011, 12:40:08 AM »
Hi everyone!
Background: I tore my ACL and had it reconstructed in April of this year.  I used the patellar tendon autograft.  Flash forward to two weeks ago.  I slipped and fell on water at my son's school and since then it is loudly popping as I walk aching pain that will also have sharp shooting pain at various points during the day.  The knee was swollen and seems unstable now when doing stairs or bending.
My OS ordered a MRI.  I got the MRI results today and I am not sure what they mean or if I will need another surgery of some sort.  Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated!
MRI IMPRESSIONS:
1. ACL autograft non ruptured but appears inflamed
2. Articular cartilage fissures on the patella
3. Nondisplaced micro-tear of posterior horn of the medial meniscus.

Thanks in advance!
