What to expect with this surgery
« on: November 02, 2011, 12:01:28 AM »
I am new here. I had a rt partial knee replacement in May of this year and in Sept I had a left partial knee replacement. I have felt good and had no problems with rehab and going back to work. I went to the Otho surgeron yesterday for my 6 weeks post-op check and found out that my left knee cap is dislocating. He said we need to fix this right away. So I am having surgery on Friday. He said the medial retinaculum ruptured and he is going to open up the previous incision and repair it. I call the Dr. office today to see if I would be an inpatient and they said it would be done as an outpatient and would go home that night. My questions are has anyone had this done. Was it an outpatient procedure and what was the recovery time.

Thank you  ???
