2weeks post op
lateral release, lateral cartilage removed and micro fracture
my question is will i be able to play football again and how long before i can?

Probably a year at least. New cartilage is very delicate and you probably don't want to put too much stress on it and cause damage. You should ask your doctor first.
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.

i was told be the surgeon 6months before i can start running again
but as with most doctors when you ask a question they not sure of they deflect it lol

If he's experienced in performing the microfracture surgery then he should be pretty sure of his replies..
