Pins and wire
« on: October 07, 2011, 05:27:42 PM »
Hi all, new here, I was in a car accident way back in '90-'91...all went well (20 years) up until about 6 weeks ago when it just didn't feel right and I noticed a small bruise on the inside of the right knee cap. Went to Mass General and had xrays done, well looks like the wire broke, into 3 pieces. Now I have to see a trauma surgeon. The doctor had never seen anything like it, has anyone here heard of the wire breaking?

I'm in the process of getting copies of the xrays so I can share :)

Dana

Hope it's nothing too serious to fix! Do you think that some activity may have caused the wire to break?
Have had tilted kneecaps for many years, and occasional patellar tendinitis.
